A Newtown man with alcohol issues has been sentenced for beating a woman.
Jonathan Rogers, 41, pleaded guilty to assault by beating and failing to surrender at Welshpool Magistrates' Court while on bail.

The assault happened at a property in Newtown on May 26 this year.
The Treowen man was given a 12-month community order when he appeared in court on Monday, October 14.
The sentence includes a six-month alcohol treatment requirement and 20 rehabilitation requirement days to help Rogers, of Colwyn, Newtown, build better relationships.
