Drainage issues at the Robert Owen sculpture in Newtown’s Trehafren Fields could be fixed with a new stone path costing around £1,000.
Newtown and Llanllwchaiarn Town Council said the proposed solution was to install a three-foot stone path around the perimeter of the public artwork.
The sculpture, designed to illustrate a roll of textile material, was commissioned as part of a project to mark the 250th anniversary since the birth of the Newtown-raised textile manufacturer and social reformer.
The Town Council said there is an existing art installation responsive maintenance budget of £2,000 available to do the work.
