Powys fire crews had to have a road closed after they recued two people from flood water.
Fire fighters from Montgomery Fire Station had to ask for a road in Hyssington, near Churchstoke to be closed after they rescued two people from flood water yesterday afternoon (October 16).
According to the crew the two people were stuck in their vehicle after it was trapped in flood water.

After using specialist gear to rescue the pair, the fire service had to ask the council to close the road from both ends as the vehicle was left stranded in the road.
This was part of a busy day for Powys Fire Crews which saw multiple call outs for many stations.

A spokesperson for Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service said: “At 2:16pm on Wednesday October 16, Montgomery crew were called to an incident near the centre of Hyssington.
“Crews used a rescue sled and life jackets to rescue two casualties from a stranded vehicle in flood water.
“Highways Authority were contacted to close the road from both ends due to the vehicle remaining stranded in the flood.
“Crews left the scene at 3:10pm.”
