A Birmingham man who denies two thefts in different Powys towns on the same day will face a trial later this year.
Alexandru Cioina, 24, appeared at Llandrindod Wells Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, October 15, where he was told a trial will take place in December.
Romanian national Cioina, of Preston Road, Yardley, in Birmingham, is accused of two counts of theft, both of which he denied at a previous hearing in Llandrindod.
The defendant is alleged to have stolen four car wheels, valued at £800, belonging to Jonathan Morgan, on December 17, 2022, from an address in Afon Way, Llandrindod.
On the same date it is said he stole an amount of miscellaneous window parts, of a value unknown, belonging to Andrew Davies, from an address on Broad Street, in Knighton.
Magistrates told Cioina, via an interpreter, that a trial for him would take place in Llandrindod on December 17.
His conditional bail – which orders him to sleep each night at his home address, as well as report to his local police station on Wednesday and Saturday each week – will continue.
