A Llanwrtyd artist showcased watercolour paintings at a recent society meeting in the area.
The October meeting of Merched y Bont was held at Victoria Hall where Sarah Gregory extended a warm welcome to all of the members who were in attendance.
The guest speaker was Caroline Holley of Llanwrtyd, who spoke about landscape drawing.
During the meeting, she gave a demonstration and completed a watercolour local landscape of the Irfon Valley, including St David's Old Parish Church.
She also brought along a number of completed and framed pieces of her work, many of which were scenes from the area.
Mrs Gregory thanked Mrs Holley for what had been an "informative and enjoyable evening."
Raffle prizes were won by Deborah Warfield, Marie Mickiewicz, and Mrs Holley.
Merched y Bont meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month at 7pm at the Victoria Hall, Llanwrtyd, and new members are always welcome.
