A Welshpool catering company is hoping for a win at The Wedding Industry Awards 2025.

Charrington's Bubbling Stove has been announced as a regional finalist in the highly-contested wedding caterer category.

The company is aiming to be recognised as the best in Wales.

Owner Seren Charrington-Hollins said: "I was delighted to receive news of the initial nomination.

"It was so lovely that one of my clients had decided to nominate my catering company after catering their wedding.

"To then receive the news that we are regional finalists in these prestigious awards is wonderful beyond words.

"I cannot begin to express how fantastic it is to get this far in such a competitive award and I am so pleased that my work has been recognised in this way.

"It's a great honour."

The next step towards national recognition is a win at the Regional Awards event in November.

At this event, the companies with the best client feedback and who have caught the eye of the expert judging panel will be crowned regional winner before progressing to the national finals in January 2025.

Damian Bailey, founder of The Wedding Industry Awards, said: "Since 2011 The Wedding Industry Awards has been dedicated to recognising and rewarding excellence in the wedding industry and this year’s regional finalists are clearly at the top of their game.

"Our awards are unique as they are voted by recent wedding couples and it’s not the total number of votes that companies receive that leads to success.

"Instead, we focus on the quality of the feedback they get from eligible couples, amongst other things.

"Larger companies and talented individuals compete on a level playing field and the best wedding suppliers always rise to the top."

Charrington's Bubbling Stove has already had a successful year with a gold win at the Free From Awards, and two gold stars and a gold star at the Great Taste Awards for their gluten-free bakes.

Ms Charrington-Hollins said: "Winning at the awards would be a great achievement and would validate my skills in wedding catering and in the food industry.

"Winning this award would be a mark of all the hard work that myself and my team invest in the industry.

"Furthermore, it would recognise our culinary creative prowess and wedding catering abilities in a way that no other commendation can."
