Rattus has heard that the website where poultry keepers are supposed to now register their flocks of chickens is not fit for purpose and keeps crashing.
This is likely to put people off registering their chickens. Government IT systems are usually very expensive and not always user friendly.
Commercial businesses with poor Web based trading systems go out of business quickly.

He hopes that people who have failed to register don’t get fined £5,000.
What Rattus cannot understand is why chickens have to be registered, presumably so the government can instruct people to keep them indoors if there is a bird flu outbreak, when pheasants are exempt once released as they are then classed as wild birds.
