Police have confirmed why a helicopter was spotted hovering above Newtown "for hours" last week.
Residents questioned online why the aircraft was seen flying over the Treowen, Lidl supermarket and Maldwyn Leisure Centre areas at around lunchtime on Friday, October 4.
A Dyfed-Powys Police spokesperson confirmed that officers were alerted to a disturbance in the Plas Melinydd area, known locally as the new appartments on the former Travis Perkins site, at around 10.50am.
A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of theft and was released on bail.
No injuries were reported, the police force added.
