A DOCTOR’S surgery in Llandrindod Wells has urged patience from its patients after announcing a staff shortage is likely to cause issues for the next few weeks.
Llandrindod Wells Medical Practice reported on Tuesday (October 8) that it is short staffed on reception, and has suggested local residents book a request online as it will save time.
“We are currently short staffed on reception and this is likely to remain for a few weeks,” the surgery, located on Llandrindod’s Spa Road East, said in a Facebook post earlier this week.
“Please bear with us during this time as phone queues may be longer than usual.
“If you are able to do so, we would advise putting a request in via the online form as this saves you waiting in the queue and frees up the lines for those that are unable to use the form.
“You can submit both admin and medical requests. These can be anything from appointment requests or even questions about referrals.”
Patients can do this at https://accurx.nhs.uk/patient-initiated/W96013. You can check the date and time of your upcoming appointments via the NHS Wales App, https://app.nhs.wales/login.
You can also find info about self-referrals on the surgery’s website, as well as lots of other useful information, at https://www2.surgeryapp.co.uk/.../powys-self-referral.../.
