TWO women accused of deliberately entering Powys and Shropshire to steal will face a crown court trial.
Tarran Wilkes, 31 and currently of Barnstaple in Devon, appeared at Welshpool Magistrates Court via video link to deny stealing Makita tools from a car in Ford, Shropshire, and a Vauxhall Insignia car from Llanfair Caereinion in Powys.
Meanwhile, Chelsea Ross, of Willenhall in the West Midlands, appeared in court to plead not guilty to both offences and denied a third charge of receiving stolen goods namely a passport and handbag belonging to a woman.

They will now stand trial at Mold in North Wales as Wilkes, whose case was heard first by Magistrates, elected to have a crown trial despite the lower court accepting jurisdiction for the hearing.

Defence solicitor Owain Jones had argued that the case was complex and needed to be in a higher court.
In Ross’s subsequent hearing, CPS prosecutor Helen Tench said jurisdiction could not be given to the lower court as it was now linked to a co-accused.
However, Nigel Ford – appearing for Ross – told the court that his client had preferred a Magistrates trial but accepted that she too will also appear at Mold Crown Court because of the previous hearing.
The pair will next appear at Mold Crown Court on Monday, November 8.
