A Newtown resident could face a prison sentence after he was found guilty of attacking a man.
Martyn Hamer, 47, was convicted of assaulting Andrew Smart by beating him following a trial on October 2.
The offence took place in Pine Court in the Maesyrhandir area of Newtown on May 4.

The defendant, of Swallow Drive, Newtown had denied the offence.
Hamer's sentence was adjourned for a pre-sentence report before a hearing will take place at Welshpool Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, October 22.
He was granted conditional bail not to contact the victim and the prosecution witness or enter Pine Court.
