Welshpool’s fireworks display has been scheduled as organisers hope the event will go ahead after last year’s cancellation.
Welshpool Town Council have announced that the 2024 fireworks display for Bonfire Night in the Powys town will be held on Saturday, November 2, at Maesydre.
The 2023 event was scheduled to be held at a similar time, but the approaching Storm Ciarán forced organisers to cancel the event over fears of a washout.

Entry for this year’s event will be free, though donations would be gladly received by the council towards the planning of any future events.
No dogs or vehicles are permitted on the show grounds, while entry to the event will be via Howell drive or the canal footpath. Various food and drink stalls will be attending the event as well.
The gates will open at 6pm ahead of a 7pm start time.
