Two women from Newtown and Talerddig have raised more than £5,000 for charity by completing five triathlons in five days.
Elaine Currie and Julie Turner took on the challenge to raise funds for the Lingen Davies Cancer Fund.
The pair, who have a combined age of 123, took on the '5x5x5 Triathlon Challenge' in the summer of 2023.
Each triathlon consisted of a 500m swim, a 20k bike ride, and a 5k power walk.
They started their challenge in Rhayader on Friday, August 30, and continued in Machynlleth on August 31, Welshpool on September 1, Newtown on September 2, and finally Shrewsbury on September 3.
They ended at the Lingen Davies Centre at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, where they were met by family, friends, and staff from the centre.
Over the five days, Ms Currie and Ms Turner swam 2.5k, cycled 100k, and walked 25k.
- Police helicopter and search teams called in to help look for missing man
- More than 30 homes in Newtown hitting the market
- Powys street to be made one-way to stop drivers using as short cut
Ms Currie said: "We've absolutely loved everything about our 5x5x5 Triathlon Challenge.
"In fact, we're quite sad it's all over - although our legs and feet aren't!"
The pair raised £5,008.75 for the Montgomeryshire branch of Lingen Davies.
Ms Turner said: "The Lingen Davies Centre in Shrewsbury is a world-class, incredible facility, where many people very close to us have been treated.
"We’ve received 150 donations so far and have been completely overwhelmed by everyone's generosity."
