A Powys town centre will be closed during the evenings for several days this month while resurfacing works are being carried out.
Llanfyllin High Street will be fully shut to drivers by a temporary road closure that will be enforced in the evenings, Powys County Council have announced.
The council revealed that a stretch of the A490 going through Llanfyllin, will be closed between Monday, October 7, and will remain in place until Friday, October 11, though it will be open during the day.

The closure will take place from 6pm and 1am each night so that the council can carry out works to resurface the carriageway.
Access to the stretch of road will be maintained for emergency vehicles while access to properties within the restricted stretch of road will be maintained via a diversion.
Powys County Council added that residents will be given notice of the closure a week before it begins.
