A Newtown pub is celebrating after making the CAMRA Good Beer Guide.
The Brew Hub on the High Street is celebrating being on the prestigious guide only two years after opening.
The café bar, which before it opened had been a hairdresser’s, a health food shop and a patisserie had a huge challenge, opening only just after the turbulence caused by the pandemic.
However, owners John and Paula Summerfield who took on the premises when it became available in 2022 having always felt it would be a prime venue for a fantastic pub.

The pub aims for more of a European style and making the guide this year continues the work of last year where they made the list for the first time.
"It was tough opening so soon after the pandemic but we have worked hard and it is great to have a great group of regulars,” said John.
“I suppose the pub is a bit different in that it has a European style. People love it here and it is a pub where people come to chat and socialise which is very important.
“Hopefully the Brew Hub will be part of Newtown for a long time to come."
CAMRA praised the pub for it wide and “excellent” choice of drinks.
