A burst water main in a farmer’s field has caused a water outage in the north of Powys.
Hafren Dyfrdwy have confirmed their engineers are currently working on a burst pipe in Llanymynech this afternoon (September 26) that has left local area without a proper water supply.
One resident from Arddleeen said they has rung Severn Trent about the outage and reported that “a main which is in the field by the bridge into Llanymynech has been ruptured in the farmers field and is rapidly churning out water”.

One resident was told it was a “substantial” burst while another spotted a large amount of water in the field that was beginning to pool.
Hafren Dyfrdwy have confirmed that they have sent engineers to the scene and intend to get the water supply restored as soon as possible.
A Hafren Dyfrdwy spokesperson said: "We've been made aware of an issue in Llanymynech and our teams are on their way to investigate.
"The burst has been located and the priority is to restore the water supply for customers and get it fixed and everything back to normal as quickly as possible."
