A MAN who 'forgot' he had a knife in his pocket ended up taking it to the pub by mistake, a court heard.
Darren Lewis, of Church Street in Knighton, was produced in custody at Wrexham Magistrates Court on Wednesday (September 25).
The 50-year-old admitted one offence of possessing a knife, which took place at Watson's Ale House in Knighton.
Prosecutor Justin Espie told the court that on Monday (September 23) the defendant was arrested for a matter that was not before the court.

When he was searched following the arrest, it was discovered that he had a folding knife with a wooden handle in his pocket.
Geraint Parry, defending, told the court his client accepted the fact having a blade was a serious offence, adding: "He tells me he's sorry and he has entered an early guilty plea."
Mr Parry said his client is a farmer and has been for some 30 years.
Normally, he explained, Lewis would leave his coat with the knife in the pocket after work.
But on the day in question it was raining and he kept wearing it, then went to the pub - forgetting the blade was in there.
"He has said he will be more careful in the future," Mr Parry added.
The magistrates handed down a four month custodial sentence for the offence, but suspended it for a year.
Lewis must also pay £85 costs and a £154 victim surcharge.
