As fuel prices in the UK continue to fall at the fastest pace in 2024, here are a few of the cheapest places to fill up in Powys.
New figures from the RAC found that in September the price of petrol and diesel in the UK is falling at the fastest pace this year, with the average price of a litre of unleaded petrol in the UK now just above 136p, down 7p from last month. Meanwhile, diesel has dropped to 140p per litre.
As well as the current drop, the RAC have said that drivers could expect further drops in the next fortnight, with petrol predicted to drop to 132p a litre and diesel to 136p a litre, marking a three-year low for both fuels.

The RAC attributed the fall in prices to a combination of a drop in oil prices to 73 US dollars per barrel amid lower global demand, while the strength of the pound against the US dollar means UK fuel retailers get better value on the wholesale market.
