I cannot believe that our elected town councillors can more or less agree that the Broad Street in Welshpool should be pedestrianised.
The main trunk road to the coast to close?
Already visitors are confused with the changes to the road system which they may just have familiarised themselves with. It is a crazy idea and the whole plan of a hedge being grown in the main street is unbelievable.

The streets are an eyesore. There are weeds in gutters, flowerbeds neglected and empty properties run down.
Welshpool is the first town to the gateway to Wales and we should be welcoming visitors and bring back prosperity to our existing shopkeepers.
Spare a thought councillors for those people who find it difficult to walk a distance and would not be able to alight from buses or taxis if the proposed plans go ahead.
