A ROAD has reopened following a road traffic collision in Powys in the early hours of this morning, near Newtown.
Dyfed Powys Police had said the B4389 near New Mills was shut just after 8am following what the force described as an “emergency incident”, with traffic monitoring website Inrix saying the incident was first reported shortly after 7am.
Police have since reported the incident involved a single vehicle collision, which occurred at around 5am, with no injuries reported.

Dyfed Powys Police said their officers left the scene at 10.15am, with the road reopening at around 11.30am, though traffic monitors reported it was back open just before 1.30pm.
“Dyfed-Powys Police received a report of a single-vehicle road traffic collision on the B4389 between Bryn Penarth and New Mills at around 5am on April 24,” said a police spokesperson.
“The road was closed whilst the vehicle was recovered and the road was cleaned. No injuries were reported.”
