Powys fire crews were called out to rescue a dog that got stuck in a cattle grid.
Montgomery fire crew were called out yesterday evening after Squeaky the collie got stuck in a cattle grid in Churchstoke.
Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service received a call yesterday evening to report that a dog had fallen between a cattle grid.

When the Montgomery crew got there, they found Squeaky stuck in the grid and had to “gently lift the dog back through the bars and return to their owner”.
A spokesperson for Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service said: “At 8.50pm on Wednesday, September 18, a Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service crew from Montgomery Fire Station was called to an incident in Churchstoke, Montgomery.
“Crew members successfully rescued a dog, an elderly collie named Squeaky, that had become trapped in a cattle grid by gently lifting the dog through the bars and return him to his owner.
“The crew left the scene at 10.21pm.”
