LLANDRINDOD Wells mayor Marcia Morgan handed volunteers a cheque on behalf of the town council and local residents following their stint in a charity shop earlier this month.

Llandrindod Community Events took over the Cefnllys School Community Charity Shop during the week of September 7-14, with all funds raised going directly toward supporting future events and activities for our town and its community.

“Our mayor, Councillor Marcia Morgan, was pleased to visit the Cefnllys Charity Shop this morning,” said a post on the Llandrindod Wells Town Council Facebook page on September 13.

“Llandrindod Community Events were raising money for their group. She presented a cheque for £50 to the group on behalf of the town council and local residents.

During December they are organising the Santa Run on December 1; Santa’s Grotto on December 7, 8, 14 and 15; and the Christmas market and lights switch on, also on December 7.
