Powys County Council have confirmed that a temporary road closure put in place on Llansanffraid bridge has been lifted a day early.
The bridge was temporarily closed on Monday, September 16, so repair works could be carried out along the historic, Grade II listed arched bridge that dates back to the late 18th century.

However, Powys County Council has confirmed that the repair works along the bridge have been completed ahead of schedule, with the closure now lifted.
A spokesperson for the council said: “A temporary daytime road closure (7am-5:30pm) has been in place so that repair works could be carried out on Llansanffraid Bridge.
“The closure was due to be in place from Monday, September 16 to Thursday, September 19, but works were completed this morning and the bridge is now back open.”
