A new partnership has been formed to help make Newtown's parks and open spaces safer.
Open Newtown has teamed up with SR Security & K9 Services, owned by Sam Richards.
The security firm will be visiting the town's green spaces to help people feel safe.
They will also be on hand to answer questions and offer support.
The company will be conducting high-visibility patrols around the grounds to create a safe and welcoming environment for all those who are visiting.
Mr Richards said: "While we are ambassadors for Open Newtown, our main role is that of ranger and we will happily go to people in time of need, answering questions and offering support where we can, helping to educate visitors and users of the park lands.
"All of our rangers are trained in this role and licensed to carry out such duties, along with also being trained and certified in emergency first aid."
He added: "I first started the company in 2022, offering an array of security services right across the country, however, the local community is where my main priorities lie, providing a trustworthy, friendly and professional service."

Open Newtown manages 130 acres of town parks, open spaces and river frontage, such as Dolerw Park, Trehafren Fields, Trehafren Hill and Vaynor Fields.
They have asked people to report any dangerous activities to the police on 101 or 999, especially if there’s a threat to life.
People can also report anti-social behaviour, vandalism, dangerous motorbikes, fly-tipping, unauthorised fires or camping on their green spaces using the feedback form on the Open Newtown website.
A message will then be sent directly to Mr Richards and his team to support you.
