A judo club has received a significant donation towards replacing essential equipment.
Builth Wells Rotary Club recently stepped in to support Irfon Judo Club, offering a generous £1,000 donation.
The club, which has been active since 1977, had approached the Rotary Club for assistance with the cost of replacing mats and a storage trolley, which amounted to £5,172.
Irfon Judo Club boasts a strong membership and numerous accolades at various levels, including club, county, national, international, and Commonwealth.
The club also provides recreational activities for members who enjoy being part of a sport which gives such a sense of wellbeing, both physically and mentally.
Coached by Richard Jones, the club relies on support from local businesses, families, and past members to continue offering opportunities to both young people and adults.
The club meets every Monday at 5.30pm at Builth Wells Sports Centre.
