A Powys driver immediately ran from the police when officers checked their Volkswagen Golf for insurance.
The driver in Newtown fled from officers after parking up a car that was found to have no insurance.
The incident occurred yesterday evening (September 10) while Dyfed-Powys Police officers were on patrol.

Whilst travelling round the town the car was flagged on their checks as having no insurance, when the driver after being spotted by officers they immediately fled the scene.
When the officers made further checks they found that the Volkswagen also did not have a valid MOT.
Dyfed-Powys Police have confirmed that they are still trying to locate the driver.
A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Polce said: “On patrol in Newtown this evening when a blue VW golf flagged up for no insurance.
“The driver made off from Officers after parking the car up. The Vehicle had no MOT
“The vehicle seized for no insurance. Enquires are ongoing to trace driver.”
