The Brecon Beacons Food Festival is set to return with new additions.

The festival will take place on Saturday, October 5, 2024, from 9.30am to 4.30pm at Brecon Market Hall.

This year’s festival will feature new components including an exclusive Tasting Table and a Cookery Theatre.

The Tasting Table will be hosted by S4C chef, Nerys Howell.

She will prepare a range of canapés and cocktails for visitors to sample.

This will give attendees the chance to taste before they buy.

The Tasting Table will be located in Brecon Market Hall.

The new Cookery Theatre will be a collaboration between the Brecon Beacons Food Festival, NPTC Group, and CK Deli.

It has been organised by Shaun Bailey, head lecturer and celebrity chef from the BBC.

The Cookery Theatre will be located in Bethel Square and will run from 10am to 4pm.

It will feature live demonstrations and cooking sessions from Mr Bailey and students from Powys.

The Cookery Theatre will be a platform for the next generation of chefs to showcase their skills and passion for the culinary arts.

Andrew Powell, the event organiser, said: "We’re incredibly proud to be expanding the Brecon Beacons Food Festival this year with new, interactive features like the Tasting Table and Cookery Theatre.

"These additions not only highlight the exceptional talent we have in Wales but also create a unique experience for visitors.

"It’s about celebrating our local producers, fostering community spirit, and giving everyone a chance to enjoy the incredible flavours of our region."

The festival will feature more than 60 local producers showcasing a variety of food and drink, from artisan cheeses to handcrafted spirits.

The festival will also have stalls, live music, and family-friendly activities for all to enjoy.

Entry to the festival is free.
