A Powys author will hold a book signing event to publicise his first novel next week.

Abermule-based author Danny Beeson recently published his first work, 'The Origin of The Wolf', and will be signing copies of the fantasy novel at the Great Oak Bookshop in Llanidloes on September 14, from 11am to 4pm.

The narrative unfolds in the mythical Kingdom of Petra, revolving around the character, Lyncon.

He is a Werewarg, a unique blend of man and wolf, grappling with a powerful darkness within him.

Lyncon is a product of elven experiments, a stranger in a hostile land struggling to recall his past.

Mr Beeson's narrative transpires amidst the turmoil between two warring kingdoms, drawing the reader into a high-stakes conflict.

As the plot evolves, they stumble upon a dark secret unravelling a potent evil threatening their existence.
