The Newtown Food Festival makes a much-anticipated return for its 10th annual celebration this weekend.

Known for its blend of fun, food, and music, the festival will take place at Newtown Town Hall Grounds from September 7-8.

For the first time in its history, free parking will be provided at Back Lane Car Park.

This vibrant event showcases an impressive range of food, drink, and culture.

Exhibitors will be present, serving up a range of dishes to enjoy on the spot along with an assortment of hand-made products.

Local charities and community organisations will also have their stands on display.

Visitors can look forward to enjoying live demonstrations by professional chefs and local food enthusiasts such as the head chef at Checkers, Andrew Birch.

Other demonstrations include interactive sessions hosted by Newtown Community Cafe and presentations centred on foods that boost brain performance.

Music lovers won’t be disappointed as entertainment is a crucial part of the festival.

From youth music and male voice choirs to solo acts such as Tommy Mills and energetic ska performances from BC All Ska, the live music doesn't even stop when the sun goes down, continuing until midnight on September 7.

Children, too, will not be left out as this year’s Children’s Village promises to keep them amused.

With activities ranging from Mad Hatters Tea Party to bushcraft activities, circus skills workshops, and more, there's plenty to engage young minds.

The festival trail competition, a proven success in previous years, makes a return with more prizes up for grabs.

The mobile trail now extends into the town centre with the addition of local businesses.

The Newtown Food Festival is organised by the Newtown Food Festival Community Interest Company in collaboration with the Newtown and Llanllwchaiarn Town Council.
