Network Rail has confirmed the line near Llandrindod Wells will be closed on Sunday morning (September 1) through until early Monday morning.

Network Rail have said that the repair work will be timed to coincide with essential repair works that were taking place on the line that day to reduce disruption.
A Network Rail spokesperson said: “Following the incident in which a train left the track at low speed earlier this week, we need to carry out repairs to the railway outside Llandrindod station.
“During a planned closure of the line between 8pm on Sunday and 5am on Monday, we’ll be replacing a section of track that allows trains to cross paths.

“Passengers are advised to check before they travel as services north of Llandrindod are affected and trains may be replaced by buses.
“We’re sorry for the disruption and would like to thank passengers for their patience.”
