A Newtown man is to face trial after he pleaded not guilty to allegations that he assaulted a man in a residential area.
Martyn Hamer, 47, denied assaulting Andrew Smart in Pine Court, in the Maesyrhandir area of Newtown on May 4 when he appeared at Welshpool Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, August 20.
A trial for Hamer, of Pine Court, has been set down to take place in Welshpool on October 2.
Hamer was granted conditional bail on the basis that he must not enter Pine Court nor contact the alleged victim or prosecution witness.
