A number of small roads in the Welshpool area will be closed later this month, including an emergency closure with 24-hour restrictions.
Powys County Council's Highways Department has announced that some minor roads will be closed in the last week of August to repair water mains and replace defective telegraph poles.
The biggest closure is along the C2006 by Berriew, near Welshpool. Powys council announced that the road will be closed as part of an eight-day emergency road closure until Wednesday, August 28.
The C2006 will be closed under a 24-hour restriction to make way for works by Hafren Dyrfrdwy, while they do works to a mains repair.

Another road by Berriew will be closed on Thursday, August 29, as the U2455 will be shut between 8am and 4pm while Openreach do works to replace a defective telegraph pole in the verge.
A day later, on Friday, August 30, the C2031 by Llanerfyl, near Llanfair Caereinion, will also be temporarily closed.
The closure will last from 7am to 6pm and is also on behalf of Openreach, while they do works to replace a defective pole in the verge.
Access for residents and emergency vehicles will be maintained during all three closures, while diversions for all three routes will be signposted.
