Glantwymyn will be holding a community meeting on the planned changes to health provision in the area.
Glantwymyn Community Council have revealed that a public meeting will be held at the village’s community centre, near Machynlleth, on Thursday, August 22.
The meeting is to discuss planned changes to community hospitals that would ask them to take on more specialised roles in an effort to help people get home from hospital quicker.

Cllr Elwyn Vaughan was among those who asked Powys Health Board for a meeting to “clarify” the situation, particularly in relation to Machynlleth’s hospital.
He said: “I’m deeply concerned about the proposed changes and want clarification as there’s a great deal of uncertainty and concern in our communities,” Cllr Vaughan said.
“I appreciate the financial pressure the health board is under but what this confirms again is the need to review and change the Barnett funding formula for Wales to properly reflect our needs.”
The meeting is due to start at 7.30pm.
