A main road in Mid Wales was closed after a fire hydrant broke leaving it impassable.
The A487 in Aberystwyth is closed this morning after a fire hydrant broke, flooding the road with water.
Traffic Wales said that the road closure was likely to last some time as engineers tackle the situation.

They advised motorists to avoid the area around North Parade Road.
In a post online the agency said: “The A487 in Aberystwyth closed in both directions due to a broke fire hydrant.
“The road is likely to remain closed for some time. This will have an impact on morning traffic. Please find an alternative route.”
