Brecon Leisure Centre is in the running for a prestigious UK Active Award.
Managed by Freedom Leisure, a not-for-profit trust that handles centre operations on behalf of Powys Council, the site has been named a finalist in the 'Regional Centre of the Year' category for the 2024 awards.
The leisure centre's offerings include fitness classes, swimming, sports facilities, and wellness programmes.
Acknowledging the importance of this recognition, Ivan Horsfall Turner, chief executive officer of Freedom Leisure, said: "We are incredibly honoured to be recognised as a finalist in the UK Active Awards 2024.
"This nomination reflects the hard work and passion of our entire team, who are committed to making a positive impact on the communities we serve."
