An Abermule writer is set to release his debut novel later this month.
Danny Beeson, an emerging talent in fantasy literature, has written a new book called 'The Origin of the Wolf.'
Set in the fictional Kingdom of Petra, the story follows Lyncon, a Werewarg—a strange blend of man and wolf who is struggling to grasp the dark power he possesses.
As he navigates a landscape stained by the conflict of two rival kingdoms, he must work with a mysterious elf.
Together, they grapple with a chilling secret that uncovers a menacing evil threatening to obliterate their world.
Mr Beeson, who draws inspiration from tales like Game of Thrones and The Lord of the Rings, shared how his love for the fantasy genre shaped his writing journey.
He said: "I have always been a huge fantasy fan and originally started writing fan-fiction based on Game of Thrones whilst enjoying the TV show and books."

Mr Beeson believes that having limited local amenities and travel limitations in rural Wales spurred his imagination.
He said: "Writing was a creative use of my time when I was unable to go out or see friends and became a kind of escape and chance to put my imagination to use."
The 28-year-old explained the meaning behind the story: "Lyndon popped into my head and soon his whole world followed.
"I started with short stories, building Lyncon’s character and those that inhabit his world.
"After enjoying those short stories I decided to take the plunge and write a full novel.
"The plot and ideas changed several times while writing the book as new characters appeared and others were not used as originally intended.
"Throughout I tried to stick to writing a story I would enjoy and that would appeal to a wide fantasy loving audience.
"I wanted it to be gripping and exciting but also have heart and contain characters that were relatable for the reader."
Mr Beeson's book will hit the shelves on August 28 this year, and it will be priced at £8.99.
