A POWYS man is due to be sentenced later this month after admitting handling stolen goods – having previously denied burglary.
Niles Taylor, 22, appeared at Mold Crown Court on Thursday, August 1, where he entered a guilty plea to handling stolen goods, belonging to Jonathan Coates.
Taylor was accused of entering a flat in Salop Road, Welshpool, on August 28, 2022, and stealing items from the property.
He had previously denied a charge of burglary and was headed for trial, but he admitted the alternative charge of handling this week.
Taylor, of Montgomery House, Salop Road, Welshpool, appeared at Thursday’s hearing via videolink from prison, where he is currently on remand.
He was told he would be further remanded on this matter until his sentencing date, which will be in Mold on August 16.
Taylor is also scheduled to appear on that date in relation to another matter.
