“Being recognised with a Great Taste three-star means so much to independent producers such as myself, as it makes all the hard work and determination worth it.

“Great Taste is the most recognised accolade for taste and quality in the food and drink industry, so it’s a huge moment for us.

“Last year we received nine silver awards from The Great British Food Awards and this year has been truly amazing, receiving a gold from the prestigious Free From Awards in June and now a two-star from Great Taste Awards for Seren's Classic Gluten-Free Brownies and one-Star for Seren's Coffee Caramel Brownie.

“We are truly without words to describe how pleased we are.”

The winning brownie was described as “generously-sized" with a crisp top, fudgy consistency and rich chocolate aroma.

“The contrast between the crunchy crust, fudgy centre and chocolate chunks was pleasing in the mouth," judges said.

“The intense chocolate used in this brownie cut through the sweetness. This brownie's contrasting crust and soft centre were of standout quality, along with its flavour and lightness.”
