A Powys-Shropshire border road is closed from 9.30am to 4pm until Monday, August 6.
The Shropshire section of the A489 between Churchstoke and Sarn, near Montgomery is undergoing roadworks by the council.
Carriageway repairs started on Wednesday, July 31.
An alternative route suggested motorists to travel through Chirbury to get to Churchstoke.
Shropshire Council says temporary traffic lights will be in place from Tuesday, August 7, to Thursday, August 15.

Brompton-based vineyard and cafe Kerry Vale has told customers that the business remains open during the road closure.
"We understand it may affect travel to the vineyard on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this week," the business posted on Facebook.
"We have been assured by Shropshire Council that customers will be able to access our entrance, so it will be ‘business as usual’ for us.
"Please don’t let it put you off visiting the vineyard this week!"
