THIS year’s Llanyre Show will take place in the village this Saturday, August 3.
The gates open at 2pm, with admission £3 for adults and 50p for children. The event will be opened by the former High Sheriff of Powys, Reg Cawthorne, at 2.30pm.
There promises to be a full afternoon of fun for all the family; why not try your luck at the new side show games and visit the many other stalls and attractions. Special attractions include Esme Fitness, Funny Faces face painting and Supa Strikers Football Skills.
There will be a brass band, stalls, refreshments, craft tent competitions, needlework and craft, art, flower craft produce, horticulture, cookery, country skills and crafts, agriculture and photography.

There will also be children’s competitions, a dog show and sports including children’s and senior events.
The show committee are also organising a best garden competition open to all gardens in Llanyre. The event is sponsored by Midway Nurseries of Penybont, and the gardens will be judged by Dave Holt of the above nurseries.
