Former chairman of Halls, Peter Willcock, has been celebrated for his 50-year membership of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers (CAAV).
At 71, Bishop's Castle-based Mr Willcock still serves as a consultant for Halls, one of UK's leading independent firms of estate agents, chartered surveyors, valuers and auctioneers.
He was recently awarded a 50 Year Membership Certificate to mark his huge milestone.
The CAAV is a professional body that informs, qualifies and represents nearly 3,000 members working in a wide variety of agricultural and rural work throughout England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
The members provide professional advice and valuation expertise on several issues affecting the countryside including tenancy matters, sales and purchases of farms and land, taxation, and auctioneering.
Mr Willcock was surprised and happy at reaching the milestone, and he said: "I can't believe it's 50 years.
"I have just been plugging away enjoying what I do.
"I must have enrolled when I was 21, after leaving university."
He also explained what the association means to him: "The CAAV is a really good organisation which provides agricultural valuers with everything they need and keeps them updated with the latest information throughout the year.
"It has stood the test of time and I have always valued my membership."

The CAAV secretary and adviser, Jeremy Moody, wrote to Mr Willcock to thank him for his efforts.
Mr Moody said: "The CAAV Council and Executive have resolved that the support of those who have been members of the CAA V for over 50 years should be recognised with the presentation of a certificate.
"One of the main strengths of the CAAV is the involvement, support and contribution made by its members who have helped us reach the position we now enjoy and ensured that the association can look forward to a strong future."
In 2017, Mr Willcock stepped away from his dual role of chairman and managing director of Halls, posts he held for 26 years, but has contributed his services to the company for 45 years.
