Presteigne Cricket Club was the victim of a break-in as a group of people reportedly forced their way through one of the clubhouse windows.
On Tuesday, July 16, team captain at the amateur Mid Wales cricket club Fred Chilman shared on social media that the club had been broken into.
Mr Chilman confirmed that the break-in left minimal damage, but did note that litter had been on the floor which was part of a growing problem in the club by having to deal with debris at their grounds.

He said: “Sadly, some idiots have forced their way through a window into the club. Luckily there is no damage inside, but there is a strong smell of weed, with litter and mess on the floors.
“We’re constantly having to tidy up litter, glass and other c**p that is left outside.
“Not sure why people are intent on smashing up or wrecking local facilities that volunteers work hard to maintain.”
