One person was taken to hospital with non-life threating injuries after two vehicles collided on a major road in Powys
Dyfed-Powys Police were at the scene of the collision at the Pontybat crossroads along the on the A470 and A483 between Llyswen and Felinfach on Thursday morning, July 25.
The main road, which was busy with people travelling to-and-from the Royal Welsh Showground in Llanelwedd, near Builth Wells, was closed to traffic from 7.30am.
Drivers were told to avoid the area and find alternative routes before the cordon was lifted and the road reopened by police at 11.40am following a clean-up and vehicle recovery.

In a statement, a spokesperson for the emergency service said: “Dyfed-Powys received reports of a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the A470, between Llyswen and Felinfach at about 7.30am on July 25.
“One person was taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life threatening.
“The road was closed for recovery of vehicles and for officers to carry out relevant enquiries.”
Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that it received a call-out but there was no need for one of their crews to attend the incident.
