Rattus has heard that CADW the people who do heritage in Wales are going to start listing traffic lights.
It is new scheme celebrating recent heritage.
Some traffic lights have been up in Powys so long that they now almost qualify as scheduled ancient monuments.
They will be protected permanently and cannot then be removed.
Their role in teaching locals patience and fortitude will finally be recognised. To qualify they only need to present for a year or two for no apparent reason and without anything actually happening.
Penybont Llanerch Emrys and the road between Llanfechain and Llansantffraidd will qualify and there is one on the way to Churchstoke.
There is some flexibility but no appeals procedure. At this point a blue plaque will be erected giving details of the notification. They will then be there for ever.
