The show, which see hundreds of thousands of visitors each year, began yesterday (July 22) to a bright sunny start.

This year saw a great mix of entertainment on offer. In the Main ring there was a huge mix of entertainment. This year saw a mini pitch invasion so children could play with the dogs in the Parade of Hounds.

The young farmers performed at their stage which saw Dyffryn Tanat YFC representing Montgomeryshire YFC work with a theme of heroes.

This saw them do an act whilst dressed as various heroes in the community such as police, soldiers, nurses, firefighters ambulance crews and, of course, farmers.

There was friendly if nervous energy in the animal judging area with competitors getting their animals in mint condition before they headed out for judging with Montgomeryshire's Becky Rowlands and Rob jones showing off their prize cattle.

Whilst there was general delight as poultry returned to the show for the first time in five years with three time champion Gwyn 'Tank' Williams showing off his championship winning bird.
