The book, stemming from principles of Social Emotional Management, has been written to spark discussions and bring about awareness among young readers.

Mr Du Cann, with a professional background in Criminal Justice, Social Services, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, believes strongly in these principles.

Explaining his motivation, Mr Du Cann said: "My main impetus for writing the book is having seen through positive encouragement and implementation of good Social Emotional Management skills individuals achieve better outcomes and results for themselves in situations whilst respecting others.

"These include improvement in self -awareness, self - management better decision making, improved relationship skills and social awareness.

"So, I decided to put pen to paper to capture and share these values with the young reader/listener wrapping them up in a warm and entertaining story."

In the future, Mr Du Cann plans to write a series of children's books, each promoting a different value.

His book is available to purchase through the publisher, Waterstones, W.H Smith bookshops and Amazon.
