BUILTH Wells Town Council has been successful in its bid for grant funding from the Transforming Towns Placemaking Grant – securing £70,000.

“Over the last few months our town clerk, Louise Hammond, has been working hard with local shops and businesses, together with the town regeneration team at Powys County Council, in order to secure funding to upgrade the fronts of some shops, pubs and business premises,” said an official.

“Louise had arranged a meeting with the owners of all such premises in the town centre at the Strand Hall to discuss the grant application process, and of the nine businesses that decided to go ahead with an application, all have been successful.”
