Two men are to go on trial after they both denied allegations that they seriously injured a man in a Powys town.
James Demaio, 35, pleaded not guilty to committing to two counts of inflicting grievous bodily harm (GBH) and assault by occasioning actual bodily harm in Rhayader when he appeared in court on Friday, July 19.
His co-accused Joshua Davies, 19, of Alexander Street, Burton Latimer, Northamptonshire, denied the GBH charge in May. He was granted bail until the trial.
The prosecution alleges that Demaio and Davies seriously assaulted Paul McCarley on June 28, 2022. Davies would have been 17 years old at the time of the alleged offence.

Demaio, of no fixed abode, was represented at Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court on Friday, July 19, by Scott Tuppen and the prosecution barrister was Alycia Carpanini.
