A Powys based branch of HSBC will be temporarily closed for just over a month while it undergoes refurbishments.

HSBC have confirmed that their branch in Llandrindod Wells will be closed, starting from Friday, July 19, at 2pm.

The branch will remain closed for over a month as it goes through a “refresh” that includes internal building work.

Wendy Morrice , HSBC UK’s Local Director, said: “We continue to invest in our branch network to make our customers’ experience banking with us a good one.

“We are pleased that our Llandrindod Wells branch is getting a refresh, with some painting, new signage and the installation of new state-of-the-art cash machines, which we are excited about.

“We have been talking to customers about the temporary closure for the last month, and while we are having the work done people can continue to use their nearest Post Office for day-to-day transactions, plus mobile and online banking is available 24/7 in addition to being able to call our contact centre.

“We will also be hosting Community Pop Up Events at Llandrindod Wells Library, The Gwalia, Ithon Road, Llandrindod Wells, Powys LD1 5BB , where we will be on hand to support customers. Will be there Wednesday and Friday’s, July 24, July 26 July 31, August 2, August 7 and August 9 between the hours of 10am and 2pm.

Customers can also continue to use any of our branches with Newtown being the closest branch.”

The Llandrindod Wells branch of HSBC is expected to open again on Wednesday, August 21, at 9am.
