A SECTION of road through a village near Newtown will be closed during the daytime over five days while work is carried out to resurface the road.
The B4386 in Abermule will be shut to traffic between 8am and 6pm from next Monday to Friday.
Powys County Council officials said workers will be resurfacing the carriageway.
A diversion will signpost motorists from Abermule to Montgomery, Pentreheyling, Glanmule and along the Dingle back to the village.
